Compliance Product Guidelines

Welcome to Ouenzé!

These Product Guidelines (“Guidelines”) outline the requirements for products listed on the Ouenzé marketplace platform (“Platform”). By registering as a Vendor on the Platform, you agree to comply with these Guidelines in addition to the Ouenzé Vendor Terms and Conditions.

1. General Requirements

• All products listed on Ouenzé must be:
  • Authentic and ethically sourced: This means products should be genuine and not counterfeit, and their production should adhere to fair labor practices.
  • Legal and Compliant: Products must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or the seller’s country of origin. This includes regulations concerning safety, labeling, and intellectual property.
  • Not Prohibited: Products listed on Ouenzé cannot be:
    • Dangerous or hazardous.
    • Age-restricted without proper verification procedures.
    • Offensive or discriminatory in nature.
    • Subject to specific Ouenzé restrictions outlined below (Section 2).

2. Specific Product Restrictions

In addition to the general requirements, Ouenzé prohibits the listing of the following product categories:

• Food and Beverages: Due to potential quality control and safety concerns.
• Live Animals and Plants: Live animals and endangered plant species are not permitted.
• Prescription Drugs and Medical Devices: These require special licensing and regulations.
• Weapons and Ammunition: All weapons and ammunition are strictly prohibited.
• Tobacco Products: Tobacco products are not allowed on the platform.
• Pornography and Adult Content: Products or content of a sexually explicit nature are not permitted.
• Counterfeit Goods: Selling or promoting counterfeit goods is strictly prohibited.

3. Product Descriptions and Labeling

• All product listings must include accurate and complete descriptions, including:
  • Product name and description
  • Materials used
  • Country of origin
  • Any warnings or safety instructions (if applicable)
• Products must comply with all applicable labeling regulations of the DRC or the seller’s country of origin. This may include information on ingredients, allergens, and usage instructions.

4. Intellectual Property

• You are responsible for ensuring that your products do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. This includes trademarks, copyrights, and patents.

5. Ongoing Compliance

• You are responsible for staying up-to-date on any changes to applicable laws and regulations and ensuring your products remain compliant.
• Ouenzé reserves the right to remove any product listings that violate these Guidelines or are deemed inappropriate for the Platform.

6. Reporting Concerns

• If you see a product listing that you believe violates these Guidelines, please report it to Ouenzé immediately.

7. Updates to Guidelines

Ouenzé may update these Guidelines at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the revised Guidelines on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after the posting of the revised Guidelines constitutes your acceptance of the revised Guidelines.
